Optical Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 ?e letter ?orn (or thorn) is an extremely useful character in ?e anglo-saxon and icelandic alphabets, it is basicly ?e sound you get from a T and an H, as in ?e word "The", coincidentally, it looks like a p, which can entertain ?e less mature people who read ?reads like this.It's also what you see in ?ings like "Ye olde book store", the Y is a substitute for ?, and is therefore not pronounced "Yee".
