I had same problem but only in ow servers. I found when I was downloading a new map the speed went from 400kb to 5kb and it would crash with this message: iw3mp.exe has stopped working. It was probably my isp experiencing hiccups.
There was an update for punk buster yesterday. That is what usually causes "Ignoring md5tool queries". Punkbuster Update Here

Is what I had. It went into my C drive and corrupted everything.
It ran in the background using all my memory is why I kept getting pop up boxes saying "your computer is low on memory", error messages and blue screen (major pc crash).
It only showed in windows task managerclick performance tab click resource monitor tabclick memory tabclick working set tablook to see how much memory services.exe is using.
I did everything I could to try and fix/remove it but failed and I had to wipe my pc.
When I used windows xp (years) I never used an anti virus program. Was never anywhere to catch anything. When I got windows 7 it never entered my head that I would need an anti virus program. I forgot that when execuass bill gates comes out with a new version of windows it makes hackers (<< asswipes) come out of the woodwork. So now I have my anti virus program installed.

Iw3mp.exe error is known to occur due to problems with sound card drivers.
Options:
Right click on game icon, click properties, select compatibility tab, put check mark in Run this program in compatibility mode for: in the drop down menu and choose your OS.
Go to Start, Control Panel, Sound, Click on the Recording tab, Right click and select "View Disabled Devices", Enable the Stereo Mix -

In the end the victim pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia in exchange for dropping the charges of misdemeanor marijuana possession and second-degree child endangerment.
He should not have been charged with anything! Those swat idiots should be billed for all the trauma therapy that child is going to need. He/she is not going to be able to sleep thinking they will come again. Nightmares about the dogs being shot by the very people that are suppose to protect him/her.

When windows 7 was being installed it deleted an entire partition off my 2nd hard drive. It had to be the one with all my pw's...game folders etc ya know all the important stuff. Sooooooooooooooo ummm after trying a bunch of differ programs we finally found a recovery program that worked for w7 64 and it found all of it. I have to do each file separately
I have a gazzillion million files. I can't install or do anything until these files are fully recovered. If I do anything on the hard drive it will erase it all I'm not liking windows 7...stupid open this and that with administrator crapola....will someone punch the heck outta Gate's??? palleeezzzzz!!!
So anywayssssss until I have all this done imma spam the forums wwwaahahahhaha
